Charlie and Anne Davis founded Davis IGA, Inc., in May of 1974. After 25 years with A&P Supermarkets, Charlie decided it was time to start his own business in his hometown of Kent, CT. Assisted by his wife Anne, and with the support of his family and dedicated staff, Charlie grew a successful community focused business. His goal was to provide his customers with the very best level of personalized service.

The second generation of Davis IGA quickly followed in their parent’s footsteps. Son, Gary began working full-time in the business in 1975, with daughter Audrey following in 1977. In 1992, after the death of their mother, daughter Marie joined the business as well. In 2006, with the passing of Charlie, Gary became the President of Davis IGA with his sisters Audrey Davis and Marie Roze as his partners.

Davis IGA is a full service supermarket offering a full service Deli department that offers catering and daily meal specials, a wonderful Produce department full of fresh fruits and vegetables with a great selection of organic items, a Meat department that will cut to your needs and a Service Department that will be sure you leave with a wonderful shopping experience.
